Turns out x-rays don't work in the same way as MRI scan machines when it comes to wearing metal

The good news is is that I have really good bone density and according to my physiotherapist I should never need a hip replacement

Still go hip dysplasia though so that's a bit of a bummer

Tiny thing. I'm just not enjoying covid. Should go in rants maybe, but I know lots of people still worry about it.

(looks at thread) ouchies. Good about the pee though.

Thank you very much, babybird. 'Tis no agony. I'll take it and be grateful.

I last got it at the very start, round this time 2019, and it was a gift that kept on giving. I think it is supposed to be less of a shock to the system these days :)

I hope the swimming today felt good on your poor leg.

Is there any improvement in your leg at all since your last post about it, babybird? Feel free not to answer if you'd rather not think about it, obviously. But I guess hoping that outpacing the grannies means it's starting to ease up a little.

No not really. Thank you for asking btw

I've been struggling with it for almost 5 years and sometimes it's really painful and then it goes ok

Hip dysplasia is one explanation I have
I also have a benign tumour on a nerve on my spinal cord and one doctor said that could cause irritation sometimes

Its nothing serious. It's not arthritis because I have high bone density and enough space between the socket or whatever. Idk

I just like to moan about it when it flares up

I'm so sorry to hear it.

I'm glad you talk about it.

It is serious. I have not experienced it, but, I knew someone with a comparable level of pain from an injury to the femur that for various reasons could not heal, and once they said to me, "People go mad from this. They go mad."

Pain is serious. Severe chronic pain is... a destroyer, a beast.

I hope your meds are good and you're able to at least blunt the edge when you need to.

Wishing you hugs and tea and human support and care in whatever forms you like best.

Yeah it's the femoral nerve where I get the pain

It feels like someone is giving me a Chinese burn on my nerves when it flares up

I can imagine it does make people go mad if it's constant

If it is not constant I am relieved :-)

But, pain is... pain. It is not good.

I was really upset to see about your ribs, babybird.

Have you had your appointment yet?

Fingers and toes crossed they are able to give you some real relief.
