Seems like a good weight...?

Look up BMI on wikipedia (body mass index). It's not perfect but it's a decent tool to see if you should be worried about your weight. The normal range is 18.5-25. I just calculated your bmi and it's about 22, so that's in the normal range.

I can't really say honestly. But besides looking at a average weight chart, you also have to consider your body type. Some people have slimmer structures and some are stouter, or as some say 'big boned'. (It sounds like me and Unmasked Emperor are in the later category... Orcish we call it. ) So a person with a stouter frame will have a higher weight normally then a slimmer one, even at the same height. Looking at family members can also help you decide what your natural build is likely to be.

Myself, I try to think of it more in terms of being what is healthy for your body type. What weight does your body feel good at, rather then going entirely by standardized charts or popular measurements.

But just as a rough guess, that does not sound overweight.

It helps a lot to eat 3 traditional meals a day. I was with my mom for 6 days and I noticed that the old eating rhythm made me forget about food altogether, and today it worked wonders as well. The 6 small bits a day.... not for me I suppose. And tea :)

Right now it seems to be gone.

I guess you mean the salty thing monster and that is good. But don't let your guard down completely. They like to sneak back, at night when you least expect it. While your distracted watching movies seems to be one of their favorite times to strike.

They sneak in when you have anxiety and/or depression, also.

Yes, that's very true. I noticed it sometimes when dealing with physical pain. Eating is a distraction, a pleasurable activity and easy to do.

Exactly! (referring to last 3 replies ;) )

Today I had bad tendencies. But when I felt/noticed them, I figured ''will I fall into that trap again? *sigh*'' and that helped a lot. It made 'tendencies' (which are subconscious to a more or lesser extent) come to the surface. Being mindful about it helps.

I noticed that I feel significantly better since the move (I recently moved and really like it here) and that I hardly have those cravings anymore/at the moment. When I feel bad I'm more prone to it. Today I was just tired however and tiredom is bad when it comes to things like this. However, I kept the bad habit at bay quite well. It helps that I'm not a big eater anyway and that my stomach is quite small (I suspect, considering how easily I'm satisfied with food). Because of that, something that really fills me up is enough to make me feel like ''blurgh, no more'' while it's in fact a very small portion and quite low-calorie.

Yeah that is what is helpful to me too. Being more aware now of the urge vs outcome. Its still hard sometimes to fight the urge... a carrot or some gum is still my main line of defense.

''blurgh, no more''

What language is that? Here we say 'Blerf, no more'.

I was just kidding. We really don't use any one particular thing. It was also a indirect way to find out where you were from. So aha! A Nederlander. I should have guessed.

I am struggling with overeating as well. Worse, I've modified my meds and have now been having very rapid weight gain. So depressing. :

Why should you have guessed? :P

I think I am in week 6 or 7. Not sure really. But still holding to it. Its hard at times. Especially at night when the meals I allow are done. But if I can just make it to sleep, then I can start over in the morning.
