Ironically, May & Walsh's opponent for the gold medal was China,
who handed them their last loss, which was in August of 2007.

BMX semis were postponed to today on account of rain.

Usain Bolt of Jamaica won back-to-back gold medals
in the 100M dash and the 200M sprint.

He clowned around for a bit before the race.

Usain Bolt of Jamaica is the fastest man in the world. He won gold in the 100m and 200m and he broke the world record in both events. Simply incredible.

Yep and him joking around is funny because he shows he is friendly off the track.

I laughed Yang Wei in the Gala with his pummel horse routine.

Usain Bolt's clowning AFTER he won gold was very funny to watch.

He dropped to his back and moved around like he was in shock.

50km walk for men is on today. there is not a 50km walk for women for some reason. maybe because women just don't want to walk 50km. which i get completely.

Our womens basketball team (opals) beat china last night and now move to the gold medal game against the USA.
GO OPALS!

Shocking News
IOC has asked for a further investigation by FIG on three Chinese women on the Chinese Gymnastics Team with more information has come forward that they are underage. One of them, He Kexin, the one won the tie breaker against Nastia Luikin for gold in the Uneven Bars. If proving true, the Chinese Women Gymnastic Team will be stripped of their team gold and uneven bars gold leaving them with two bronze medals giving Nastia a second individual gold and the USA Women Gymnastic Team the Team Gold Medal. A worst effect of this incident will be that China has dishonor itself as the host nation and destroyed its chance for another Olympics for a while or for good at the most extremes.

Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers won the gold in Men Beach Volleyball thus a sweep for the USA and the first nation to do it in Olympic History. USA dq 4x100m relay in Track and Field both men and women on dropping the baton. However, the USA has won 13 medals in two days with a total now 99 medals.

If you think about it more China can stripped of all its women Gymnastics medals because the other two Gymnasts also under investigation won two bronze medals as well. This leaves only two bronze medals won by Cheng Fei in her individual events. It is dishonorable to lie by ages to win and it has happened in the past with other nations coming forward about lying about an athlete's age as well. Dishonorable and being the host nation, now that is a double whammy.

Well no proof about underage athletes for China so oh well there but we must respect China anyway. I'll laugh if those girls were lying without going through a polygraph machine.

Wow, more people are crying foul against China!

Anyhow, Laura Wilkinson "retired" on a high note.
Her dives were not great, but respectably good.

Maybe she will pull a comeback similar to Dara Torres'
and return for the 2020 or the 2024 Games.
The possibility is close to zero, but hey stuff happens.

Concerning the age flap against the Chinese gymnasts,
the only possible ways that the truth can surface itself
is to bring all of the Chinese gymnasts in for questioning
and for DNA tests/polygraph tests to be administered.

Won't happened because IOC is dropping the investigation with no proof of underage athletes is true. They hoping it will be drop dead but it more likely won't I bet.
