So I've been feeling extremely fatigued and exhausted, with dull headaches at the front of my head all the time. It's been going on for years but I've only begun to take recent notice of it.

I was at my doctor's today, and she gave me a few possible reasons as to why this is happening: I could maybe be anemic (which is likely, as I have most of the symptoms), or my exhaustion could be due to interrupted sleep, which isn't as likely since I don't snore often enough.

Now, I have another possible theory: could my senses be overwhelming me, to the point where I get drained from it all and get headaches? Maybe my threshold is naturally much lower than most people's... Do you think this is possible? It would be difficult (not to mention impossible) to treat, but I just want to see if it's worth making an appointment with the doctor who diagnosed me.

Yeah, I don't know what to think. Has anyone else experienced something similar? What have your results been?

Yes, we get overwhelmed and overstimulated easily and our threshhold is much lower than most people. You might need to inform your drs about it, since few are educated in ASD's that much.

Still, did your doc mention vitamin deficiency? Has that been looked into? It was the problem with my ex-BF.

Yep! I feel exhausted and fatigued all the time. Some of it is due to ME/CFS ( chronic fatigue syndrome) and I reckon being aspie and having to deal with NT s and NT life situations causes energy drain. Maybe see if you can get assessed for ME/CFS, not easy in OZ, but I believe it is more recognised in UK. If you see a ME/CFS sympathetic doctor with adequate knowledge you can get path tests done to ascertain what supplements you may need.
Recently I've had to become a recluse due to the exhaustion and the exacerbation opf it by NTs. Anyone in UK DR Sarah Myhill and team in Wales have sorted out some good research and tests on Mitochondrial Dysfunction etc.

I fall under the Fibromyolgia category and had to selfdiagnose as most people around me, including doctors, didn't understand or flat out believe me. It is more noticiable with dampness or drastic weather change.

When this occurs I am so fatigued I will likely fall asleep for two hours until I feel better and with a family that is rare. My muscles are stiff and sore like the flu and don't respond very quickly. It sucks when I drop something heavy as my reflexes slow to a crawl and with the pain sensitivity it feels like I've been hit twice as hard.

I am easily confused during these attacks. It may take me much longer to perform certain tasks as it would on a descent day.

I can often wake up and sense a change or soon coming change in the weather as I cannot easily wake up and am very groggy. If I wake up feeling fatigued I will not get through the bout with it till about late afternoon and by then the day is almost gone.
