I went paintballing in March of 2009. It was a really great experience; I enjoyed it a lot. It was almost like being in a combat situation. After all, you're using your senses and your brain, both given to you by nature, to shoot (or mark) the opponent and to avoid getting shot (marked) yourself. Unlike with traditional team sports, strong skills and coordination aren't necessary. All you need are quick reflexes, strong attention to detail, and a desire to win. If you play Counter Strike or any other online multiplayer war game, that's pretty much what paintball is like. You have some team work, but mostly you worry about yourself.

I have found that at most paintball fields I have been to, I have had a great time but more important people seem to be friendly. You get some jerks/elitists at fields but I have many times showed up by myself and walked over to a group and said "Hey, mind if I join your table?". I don't think I have ever gotten a negitive response. Many players I have met are also willing to help newbies, fix gear on the spot for free, and share paint at times.

I went paintballing once. It was good fun, but I was rubbish at it.

And the paintballs sometimes got stuck in my gun.
You don't get those sorts of problems with Laser Quest. Plus, with Laser Quest they can tell you at the end how many hits you scored and how many you received.

I think it would be great if they could take Laser Quest outside.

I used to like airsoft, they banned it so I got a real gun instead. Legally of course, but in Australia it's easier to get the real thing then the toy.
