I am 20 and I would like to know if thier is anyway I can grow to 6ft4 inches tall? I am currently 5'11 1/2 which is almost 6ft? I would love to be that height because of how awsome it would feel to tower over everyone.

If not then I might have to aim for a 6ft1 instead which is probably more realistic.

My mum is 5ft2 and my dad is 5'10 1/2. Most people in my close family are under 6ft with the exception of 2 distant twin brother relatvies who were 6ft4.

I'm pretty sure that at 20 you have all you will be getting. Probably. I know one person who was 5'10" when she got married at 18 but ended up 6 ft, but that is extremely unusual. Also, she had a lot of tall genes. You seem to have a regular size gene pool so I doubt that will be happening to you.

Well I could always drink loads of calcium and exercise. My older brother grew to 6'1 so I could also get some of his genes for getting tall as well but he was given steriods as a child because of kidney problems he had.

At age 20, your growth plates (click) are probably closed or nearly closed, so it's unlikely you'll get appreciably taller.

You can, of course, get w-i-d-e-r...

I'm the same height (5'7", 170 cm) I was at age fifteen and I'm now 47. My best advice is to go for hi-heeled sneakers?

BTW Bill, I did still grow horizontally also, but one should consider themselves lucky if they outgrew both of their parents. My "mum" was 5'2" but my dad is about 6', so I ended up in between. Now the good news...I'm in grate company...

I think I hit my maximum height (6'0") around age 17-18.

Those are weak. Try some boots, à la Gene Simmons:

A suit which fit me perfectly at age 18 no longer fit when I was 21, because my shoulders had broadened. Once I discovered beer :drunken:, I broadened in other places too, undesirably so.

Only other way I'm aware of is breaking your legs and stretching them out with metal braces like in the movie, "Gattaca."

Drinking a lot of calcium may have worked during teenage years but at this stage, that seems overly optimistic.

There is actually a cosmetic procedure carried out in the far east like that. Leg stretching. I wouldn't recommend it. Far easier to get happy with yourself as you are. 5'11 ain't bad.
