I have broken several bones over the years. I have had stitches for cuts multiple times. Had a tooth knocked free and undiagnosed concussions while playing sports. And I have had a whole slew of soft tissue injuries. I have heard aspergers have more frequent injuries and accidents than normal. I don't know if I just play too hard, have a high threshold for pain, or am accidental prone because of the syndrome. Have you had a lot of injuries and accidents too?

Nah. Like I explained to a friend after falling down half a flight of stairs last week, I tend to fall but I just ... bounce.

I tend to have bruises, because even though I don't bruise too easily, I trip/fall/bump into things a lot. But, I don't *ever* seriously injure myself. I do dive rolls off the vault at school all the time, and even that has yet to harm me. Never broken anything, sprained anything, hit my head hard, whatever.

I have only ever broken one bone (my wrist, and that was because I fell over whilst running backwards. My friend told me to so I did. An example of clumsiness and gullibility...) lol
But I have minor accidents ALL the time. I mean today, I tripped over a chair in the school cafeteria, fell off a trampoline, twice, and fell backwards off an exercise ball and grazed my elbow. LLOL. must be an Aspie/Autie thing, I have more accidents than my friend who has Dyspraxia XD And I have fifteen huge scars and always a bruise. Its hilarious, really. I don't know how I manage not to break bones lol, you must be a little bit unlucky then :L

Well it would depend on the sports you're playing ie if you were boxing then id say probably not

But then again over here in the UK, in soccer we have players over here who are known to "get stuck in", especially centre backs and centre midfielders. So maybe you're more "commited" to winning the challenge/ball etc than most

And on a side note Im also injury prone, as my friends often note!
In the past 5 years or so I've had 3 serious injuries. First was when I dislocated my knee cap and was out for about 4 months. I then did it again 18months later and found I couldn't really play football for about 6-8months, though that was partly psychological reasons which influenced my confidence. And then EXACTLY 3 years to the day to my second injury, which was just last April, I dislocated my knee cap again and this time also did my Medial Collateral Ligament in too. My physio said it could take up to a year, ie next April to return to full fitness and to strengthen my leg up to as much as possible.

Edit
I should also add my dad has had knee injuries and even though he doesn't have aspergers he does have a few tendencies. I've not necessarily thought of whether my knee injuries are directly linked to aspergers but i do sometimes wonder whether it may partly be down to genetics?

Yeah, I should learn to be more bouncy, EaglesSayMeow. :) Cool name by the way.

I've broke a wrist bone too, Xemmaliex. But that was walking two big dogs and getting suddenly pulled over and tripping all in one motion.

I think I really lack an appreciation for just how hard stuff is.

More during american football and basketball. I did get a nice cut playing racquetball once. Mostly I am just klutzy and ignore my own well being during the moment. I like boxing, but strictly for fun.

My knees are kind of turned out more they should be. I could cut really well while avoiding being tackled, but I don't think they are as stable as most people. Knock on wood, I haven't had any major leg injuries yet. But, yeah a lot of injuries were from throwing myself around with reckless abandon.
