8O Have you ever been or considered being a personal trainer?

I'm not disciplined enough to stick to something on my own. I need to be yelled at.

Here's someone whose body I can only aspire to:

I'm pretty much of a loner when it comes to working out and my routines... I don't know if I'd work well with trying to train others. I never joined a gym, as I don't like being around others while working out. I built a gym in the house, and got all pro equipment from health clubs gone bankrupt, and a few things that got salvaged from a big mansion belonging to an NBA player that burned down in Malibu, and odds & ends here & there to make up a reasonably good gym with all the stuff you'd find at a membership gym.

On the personal trainer idea, I also don't have the proper education or experience to be a good trainer. But I take your idea as a compliment!

Oh yup, it's certainly a compliment. I saw your picture from some other thread (can't remember which now) and admired the discipline it must have taken to get you where you are now. There's a small gym here at my apartment complex, but it's geared more toward aerobic exercise. And I prefer to work out with no witnesses either, so I used to wake up at 4 am just to have the place to myself. I just got too comfortable and everything inched back up. I think I'll try kettlebell sometime.

@ tangomike, if you need someone to yell at you, I VOLUNTEER FOR THE JOB!

I know the feeling, my dad tells me to be one just about every time I take my shirt off and I'm always having to remind him that 3 years of weightlifting classes doesn't make you a personal trainer.
