i have admired Aubrey De Grey for a long time now in fact he was my inspiration for becoming a transhumanist here is a little Q&A interview i found of him

He's a really nice guy in person too

the man's an idiot

they called everyone in history who made progress an idiot, heretic, blasphemer, nut job, etc. and yet these days most are celebrated as geniuses i mean look at Albert Einstein most of his teachers swore he was mentally challenged because of how different he was and the ideas he had and now he is recognized as one of(if not THE) smartest people(person) on earth

they thought the Wright brothers were idiots for thinking Man can fly and everyone stood slack jawed and staring as humanity learned to fly or how about going to space? nearly all advances in human societies were slowed by scientific trolls(not mentioning any names to avoid trouble) throughout human history and they are nearly always proven wrong

no, denying it is not progress

im fully intending to go to school to be a BioMedical Gerontologist(people who research life extension) and this could probably be the biggest progress mankind has made since ever i mean think about it curing aging(no one ever said you still cant die just not by aging, thats the whole point of De Grey's research which is basically the manipulation of aging to better mankind)
