I have man-boobs because I'm a little overweight & very physically weak. I'm starting a med that could have side-effects of increasing breast size(I started a post in the Adult section recently & this isn't really the section to discuss it) & I really should try to get in better shape anyways plusd I've been bored & haven't felt like posting much so now seems like a good time to start. I'm wondering what would be some good fairly easy exercises I could do that wouldn't involve buying any equipment :?:

As he said :)

plenty of equipment free regimes out there, google is your friend.

The other thing to consider is to aim to lose some weight. Boobs are mostly fat, so keep that down and you will be doing yourself a favour. Get into a healthier diet, and start walking or get on that bike. You will feel so much better, and those man boobs will stay away :)

Real ones won't go away unless you have surgery.

Usually when people say they're a little overweight, it's typically more than a little, in my experience. I consider "a little" to be about 15lbs but I've seen men who were 60lbs overweight refer to it as "a little"

If you are more than 15lbs overweight, you will probably only get rid of the man boobs by getting down to healthy weight. If you really are no more than 15lbs overweight, you may have a condition called gynecomastia. You can have this if you are more than 15lbs over weight, but it could be difficult to distinguish from the excess fat from just being overweight.

I believe men of healthy weight with actual gynecomastia usually have the problem surgically corrected.

bench presses, push-ups and that thing on the nautilus where you bring your arms together. Your body will eventually metabolize the fat there and you'll get flatter. Fortunately for us guys, it is fat and nothing mammary about them.

The answer depends on what they actually are. If they're body fat, then losing weight will cause them to go down. If they're gynecomastia, the losing weight will NOT help, and in fact it could make them stick out more. My suggestion is to ask a doctor to feel them, and identify whether you have gynecomastia or not. You can tell somewhat yourself, by pinching and comparing the "boob" tissue with body fat elsewhere. "Gyno" tissue feels spongy and might feel like a jelly donut surrounding the nipple area, whereas body fat just feels like one big glob over the whole chest. If you can't feel any difference between pinching (a large pinch so as to feel what's under the top layers), then you probably have a good chance with body fat loss. If you do feel a difference, then you might need to look into gynecomastia removal surgery. It's a VERY minor procedure, and they can even do it while you're awake if you want.

With all due respect to the earlier postors, I believe that doing push-ups or bench presses alone, may make the problem worse IF the manboobs are gynecomastia. The pecs are underneath the layers of gyno tissue and body fat, so hardening up the pecs can actually push out the manboobs and make them pointier.

I'm not a doctor, but I am a bodybuilder with 30 years lifting experience.

This, which is why the solution is losing some stored fat... which means cardio and eating more selectively. Strength training may confer some benefits, but just cranking bench presses isn't likely to be a whole solution on it's own.

I'm not sure how much I weigh but I'm probably more than 15lb overweight. I say little overweight because I don't look fat except for my belly & boobs. I never been in shape but I was skinnier when I was a teen & my boobs weren't as big then so I'm guessing it's likely fat. I tried doing push-ups & sit-ups last night & I was worn out after a couple. Maybe I didn't do em rite but I don't think I really have the strength either. I should of thought about working out before I started the med but I'm an idiot sometimes(or lots of times). I thought of something to help my arms some. I'm using a big maglite flashlight & brass knuckles paperweight I have as weights. Maybe I could work my way up to push-ups. I did some walking a little while ago. I live on a major highway with no side-walks so bike-ridding is dangerous but there's a gym/park/track thing down the road from my house not much but I walked 5 laps(4 is a mile) & walked there & back which was half a mile maybe just guessing. There wasn't much traffic on the road at time I went & they've been redoing the gravel & cutting the grass more on side the road than they used to so the walk wasn't as unsafe as it could of been. Sun wasn't too hot & bright either. Came back when I did because I was thirsty, had to pee & I didn't want to push myself too hard. I liked walking track when I was in PE in high-school; I could zone out & day-dream while doing it. I might do that again tomorrow if I'm not feeling too tried & weather is nice again. I'll probably won't be doing that to much thou because it's usually hot & humid here in the summer & late in the evening when the weather is nicer; there's a lot more traffic on the road.

I haven't been to a doc in a year or so. I got on Medicare last July & I can get a Welcome to Medicare physical for free. I was feeling OK so I wanted to wait in-case I got sick or something but I have to get it by end of June so I'll probably go next month. I might would mention my boobs to doc but I rather avoid that awkward conversation so I'll keep trying to exercise some & see how they look then. This is slightly off topic but when you go for a physical; Do they do blood-work or other lab-work that would detect medication :?: I'm kind paranoid of docs & don't want to tell em I'm on something
