I just ate two hours ago and my stomach has been rumbling ever since.

I feel like I could eat a dozen whoppers right now.

People wonder why some have a hard time shedding pounds...

happened again last night. I took a couple of gas pills. It seemed to help a little.

Can't help you there. I'm always hungry because my metabolism is absurdly fast when it comes to absorbing nutrients and digesting, and it seems everything I eat evaporates and I never gain any weight. But I guess thats not the case with you ("People wonder why some have a hard time shedding pounds...).

Perhaps you might have a bowl obstruction, I'm not sure. I have IBS and am Lactose intolerant and the two will have my stomach grumbling a little while after I've eaten, especially if there was any lactose product in what I ate - which, the noise sometimes confuses me as to whether I need to eat something to settle it or not. It's weird.

What did you eat? That's the first place to start.

yup. something's wrong. no matter the meal, I feel hungry afterward. I mean, more than just wanting to eat out of boredom. This is the grumbly, kinda uncomfortable kind.

I asked my previous question, because that's what I'm studying to become (and I've had terrible problems with constant hunger too.)

I am curious what kind of things you are eating, plus what kind of snacks. That might help sort out some things, especially if you do end up going to see someone who is currently qualified to review your dietary habits (versus a student.)

snacks - a pack of berry granola nut stuff, a yogurt for breakfast, water throughout the day.

I'm thinking it might be the granola or yogurt. I'm going without today to see if it's not that.

What about breakfast, lunch, & dinner? What do you typically eat for those meals? Knowing the whole picture would be helpful.

Ha, I'm on a diet too and I know the feeling.

My advice is eat some fruit, salad or nuts with every meal. The type of calories from these mineral rich food take longer to metabolise, so you will feel fuller for longer, plus it tricks you into thinking your meal is huge.

If all else fails stock up on low calorie snacks like carrots and salsa, diet jelly, diet soda. Will fill you up without blowing the diet

made an appointment with the Dr. He's unwilling to advise over the phone for some reason.

$20 says that he's just going to tell me "willpower" and charge my insurance.

If he does, go find another one. Make sure you're seeing an "RD" (registered dietitian), as opposed to a nutritionist. Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, even I could without finishing my degree. Only people who have passed the licensing exams from the American Dietetic Association can used the "RD" designation. You might google the ADA to find an "RD" in your area.

I'd love to give you my suggestions, but if you don't want to post a typical days meals, a PM would work too.

breakfast usually consists of a breakfast sandwich or a bowl of cereal. Most days with a yogurt. If I'm feeling ambitious, I'll make some waffles.

lunch is usually a sandwich (pb&j), bowl of chicken noodle soup or one of those lean cuisine pizzas or philly steak and cheese.

Dinner is a main course (chicken, pork, fish) with a veggie side. The veggies usually are more than the main course.

I don't drink a lot of soda. Iced tea, water mostly.

I do have a snack of an apple or small bag of nuts or something similar.

keep having this vision of me sitting there, him telling me I need to have more willpower and me storming out all the while shouting, "I'm telling my insurance you wanted to see me for 'hunger' and you better not bill me for the visit because I'll sue!"

It's the damndest thing! I JUST ATE!! !
