Curiousity of how a dentist might fix this
I'm not sure how a dentist would fix this problem. The tooth is chipped because the cavity broke it and I cannot afford to get it fixed right now.
Not to mention the fact I'm terrified of dental procedures.
Sorry for the blurry image.

I've been through a lot of that kind of work, and honestly, it's not that bad. If you don't get it fixed soon, it likely will go into an infection in the tooth, and then they'll have to pull it. If you are lucky enough that it's not painful to touch right now, then it's very possible that the dentist can veneer it without any drilling or shots. They'll need to sand it with a tiny burr, in order that it will be rough enough to hold the veneer, then they just patch it with the veneer like a hole in the wall. would take about 10 minutes if that's what they find that you need. At worst, if there IS a little pain now, and it's an official cavity, you will need the bad part drilled and then filled. Again, no big deal, and the new Novocaine needles you can't even feel 99% of the time. They'd only have to numb the nerve for that one tooth, and it's the easiest one to work on in your whole mouth.
I'm not a dentist, but I have terrible teeth, and have plenty of experience with dental work since I've spent more time in dentists' chairs than most 100-year-olds.
TIP: Explain yourself to the dentist and to the assistants! If they don't understand the autism spectrum, they're likely to do the opposite of what we like done, as far as keeping us as comfortable as possible. In my case, I want to be TOLD EXACTLY what they're doing, and not be surprised. If that's what you want, you need to be very clear about that, as most people don't want to know anything, and they're not bothered by sudden pokes and grabs. And furthermore, if the assistant doesn't understand, you're likely to get a sudden pat on the arm, and that might be worse than the dental procedure for us.

I had a feeling something like that would be done. Ah well. But thanks for commenting on this.
I'm diagnosed as having generalized anxiety disorder so as you can imagine, I'm freaking out about this.
