Has anyone done one of these yet?

I would like to try one. I would probably go with the half marathon version. The downside is that I am a very average swimmer. I am not sure how feasible it is do one of these, but I'd like to try. Do you have any suggestions or training programs to get myself prepared?

I've run a half-marathon (and full now :D ), so if you have any running questions...by all means, ask.

Actually, now that I have nothing to train for, that sounds like a fun thing to do, so tell me how it goes.

congrats to you chrissyrun. way to go. to sluice i would add good luck to you. the training will be hard but the reward will be magnificent. there are many on-line training plans. just listen to your body and give yourself time.

I would like to do one in a few months but a very short one. I found that if you have a triathlon club in your area that's not to expensive if you join they have practices and training programs.

Thanks! I forget about posting in this forum.

I haven't progressed too far. I did try swimming across a bay and it was a killer. Think this might have to be a slow gradual process, but I would like to accomplish this. Clubs sound like a good idea Smartgirl56 if I can find one.
