I am having extreme difficulty trying to find a supplement for myself.

I read that somewhere around 100mg of b6 and magnesium is therapeutical, however, I have not yet found a product that meets this.

The closest is the Blackmores PMT with 100mg of B6 and 75mg of magnesium.

I had a look at Swisse's men's range but the b6 is too low. o_O The magnesium range seems really high at 300mg minimum...

Natures own is in the middle with a 25mg b6, 50mg magnesium combo.

I wonder what my parents would think if I came home with a PMT vitamin. x_X

However, the PMT vitamin has a range of other vitamins which I am not sure I require.

Are you trying to find one multi-vitamin supplement that will meet all of your needs? If so, that might be hard to do. You may find that your options are to either (a) take a basic multi and make sure you have a diet very rich in the nutrients you are concerned you may be deficient in or (b) take more than one vitamin supplement. Both B6 and magnesium are important, so I wouldn't really want to choose one over the other.

Personally, in addition to my multi and fish oil in the morning, I take a B complex once a day and a small-dose magnesium supplement with almost each meal. (If you take more than 250 mg of magnesium at once it can cause digestive problems, so it's actually best to break it up and take a little at a time.) I also try to eat a balanced diet with lots of whole foods and little processed foods to get as much as I can vitamin-wise from natural sources.

I've been doing this for a few years and have noticed enough of a difference in how I feel that, for me personally, it's been worth it to have to take more than one thing. But, everyone's different, I guess, and you'll need to figure out what works for you. Good luck!

I've heard natures sunshine is a good brand. Also try blackmores.

You will want to be a little carful on the type of magnesium that is purchased, along with the quantity taken. Some, like magnesium oxide, are used as a laxative.

Recall this article on Dr. Davis's sight ~

3) Magnesium–I generally advise supplementation with the well-absorbed forms, magnesium glycinate (400 mg twice per day) or magnesium malate (1200 mg twice per day). Because they are well-absorbed, they are least likely to lead to diarrhea (as magnesium oxide commonly does).
