No but I have Crohn's Disease, and my flare-ups are more common when I'm under stress/anxiety.

The GI tract needs to be relaxed in order to operate well. When we are anxious the "channels" tighten up. Anything which helps to relax you will help.

I find when I'm conscious about eating good, and not eating too much food that is hard to digest, it helps a lot. I also try and do yoga as much as I can to relax, and ease the tension in my stomach/intestines (I, like I'm sure is the same with you carry a lot of tension in my mid section). Also, I find that Acidopholous and other active enzymes help with digestion, and I drink Aloe juice for, among other things, to ease the pain in my flare-ups. Crohn's has some other side-effects, so I won't go into the other things I do, cuz they wouldn't really pertain to IBS.

I have IBS and feel stress can sometimes worsen the condition. But then again stress makes most situations worse, so not terribly surprising.

What helped my condition tremendously was eating a paleo diet. Now it is pretty rare for the gut to act up, stressed or not, anymore.

There are several excellent web sights about eating paleo - one that I check out from time to time.

I have IBS and my symptoms of pain and bloating have greatly improved by eliminating wheat and reducing my dairy consumption. Still, if I am stressed for any reason, my body reacts by becoming constipated. I have had to deal with this from multiple angles, like avoiding high-stress jobs, having plenty of time in the morning to let my body eliminate when IT wants to, meditation, and daily exercise and journalling. I also get constipated before my period, and it's then that I may have to take cascara sagrada to get things moving again.
