One of my big interests is auto racing, specifically 80s Japanese cars, and modifying them to be fast. So, it's one of my dreams to like, race cars. However, I have trouble driving with like, a passenger, and even have trouble on the highway with lots of other cars, just because the multitasking ability I have is kinda bad, unless I get "into the zone" but then I lose a lot of my logical analysis ability. But, I really love driving by myself on backroads and the like. What I'm concerned about is, .y NVLD gives me visual spatial issues, I can barely like...eat a candy bar, while driving. I got friends that can like, eat dinner with a knife and fork while driving. So my multitasking ability sucks, but I have kinda high focus ability on a specific thing, too. Figure skating has actually helped me a lot in driving, and reacting quicker and sorta connecting my body and mind and all that stuff, but I'm still not as good of a driver as I'd like to be.
In the very near future, all I can foresee myself doing is autocross for now, but would like to work up eventually to circuit racing, specifically time attacks, especially if I got to the point where I owned an automotive shop of some kind (which is another possible goal of mine.)
So yeah, is anyone here involved in auto racing at all? I'm more talking official type racing, but if you do/did street race I'd be happy to hear about that too (though it's illegal and dangerous and all that stuff.) I'd just like to hear anyone with experience in the matter, ideally with someone with NVLD like me, but AS is sorta similar, and I might have it so yeah.
