What is the most boring? What aspects of the sport makes it so? What sport do you think would be the most exciting to compete in? Does the danger factor about the sport have a correlation to it being exciting to watch? Would the most exciting to watch be a sport/art that you would most want to train in?

I think the most potentially dangerous sports are more boring to watch, because more respect is given to gravity of the situation, and not the entertainment value, and rightfully so. Those are what I would want to compete the most in, but not necessarily watch.

MMA, Muay Thai are very hit-or miss for me. Some fights are incredibly entertaining, and others are really boring. Sometimes there is alot of posturing and hit and take. Of course there are all out brawls and and great knockouts, but other fights not so much. Of course if you do actually train and have knowledge in the sports, you can appreciate the technique and posturing more.

Boxing just hurts my eyes as they keep trading punches. Too much fancy footwork and technique. I have never been a fan of watching it.

I have seen a few American rules Kickboxing (no elbows or knees), and they seemed very fast-paced and no timidity on either fighters part. They wear protective gear and they go all out. Very exciting because they seem to go at it constantly.

I think it really all depends. I voted for American Kickboxing, because even though it isn't the most popular, there seems to be the least posturing and the most action.

Out of those options, Mua Tai.

But, for me, as sick as it may be, I prefer combat with weapons. Knives and swords. People perform at their best when it is win or die. It adds a measure of really having to win.

As far as boring goes, BOXING. It's fun to do (especially body shots) but I just cannot watch it. Bunch of people dancing around throwing loosely thought out punches.

it varies. All of those can be really interesting to watch.

I find boxing or wrestling to be the least interesting. Not a lot of boxing fights catch my interest now unless they are big names, or old legendary fights. Too much of nothing happening too often with boxers... Wrestling matches, I tend not to like because of all of the rules, and stopping that tends to happen during matches.

I prefer watching kickboxing fights, jiu jitsu matches, and MMA. Of coarse big names are most preferred usually, as they often come to fight and win. I enjoy it because of the display of skill, technique, heart, and impact. To see a lot of techniques be pulled off is really interesting to me.

For me it's MMA, boxing and BJJ. In that order. Kyokushin matches can be good too, lots of spectacular knock outs with the legs.

Also, high level Taekwondo vs Kung Fu under no rules is very entertaining to watch. You can just see the look of dejection on their faces when they realize they've wasted their time training a garbage art and all their fancy techniques go out the window when they pathetically flail around like highschool girls fighting over a boy.

As far as availability/accessibility - MMA. Guys like Emilienenko and Arlovski especially.

I'm not much into watching combat sports. But did read this morning that of all things female boxing will be a sport in the 2012 Olympics. Didn't even know that there was female boxing.

I voted for boxing although I don't watch much of it anymore. Used to be a big fan as a kid ... Sugar Ray Leonard was my favorite and then I followed Mike Tyson from his earliest fights as he is originally from my area. But we don't subscribe to Showtime and HBO at my house so I never really get to watch any of the big fights these days. Oh, and Rocky is about my favorite all-time movie series.

But like I said, the only pugilism I watch these days comes in the form of hockey. :)
