I am not 100% sure that is is the right place to put this.
Baseball was a sport that I enjoyed playing with the neighborhood boys. Next year I wanted to join my schools baseball team I was told by many people that I couldn't because I was a girl. But they said that I could play softball.
I don't believe that this is right. Baseball and Softball are two different games. To begin with I don't believe that sports teams should have a boy or girl team. But sense they do they should at least have a girls baseball team and a boys softball. It feels bad when even you own aunt tells you that it is not going to happen.
What is you opinion on this?

Try out for baseball. If you can hack you will make the team. If you don't make it, maybe you can make softball.
And I don't say "maybe" to be condescending, I am a dude who played varsity baseball in high school and has always legitimately enjoyed watching women's softball. It's a different game, but not lesser at all.
Yeah you'll be at a disadvantage, but if you go out for baseball and can rip line drives and play defense at whatever position as well as the dudes can you'll be in good shape.
Same criteria goes for a softball team.

I think they made themselves perfectly clear.

Couldn't because of ability (or lack of it) or because there are legally no girls allowed in baseball?

Well, if you can negotiate with the coach for baseball, you can certainly try baseball, but you won't be able to advance in baseball at the collegiate or professional level. I just read this looking this up for you, apparently in 1952, the Major League banned the signing of females. So, it's just one of those "that's the way it is" things in life, I guess. So yeah, you probably will have to play softball, sorry.
Another situation of it "being the way it is" in another sport is field hockey. Field hockey is pretty popular with men in other countries, but here in America, there's pretty much only women's field hockey clubs. I'd love to play it, but I can't, as all the clubs are only women's clubs. Just another way of it sorta "ending up" that way.

By all means, give it your best shot. One question, though: There are such things as slow-pitch (where the ball must be thrown in a high arc in the air, in addition to crossing home plate within the strike zone, to count as a strike) and fast-pitch softball (sometimes called fastball, a game similar to conventional baseball except that the ball is pitched underhand). Which version are you doing?
Probably true, but not entirely true.
Women can play in professional leagues that aren't part of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues: see Ila Borders and Eri Yoshida. Current leagues outside the NA include the American Association, Frontier League, and North American League. (It helps if you're a pitcher.)
A women's varsity softball team is almost certainly fast-pitch.
Whether a woman can try out for the boys' varsity baseball team is probably up to the coach, although it's quite plausible that the coach will award the tryout and cut said woman at the first opportunity.
(End ramblings.)
