When I was 14 I had a gum graft.

Has anyone else ever had this procedure done?

What were your experiences like?

Has anyone ever had something similar to a gum graft?

Through the years I worked in manual labor I got myself damaged a few times and have had a gum graft on 3 or 4 occasions.

It involved taking a piece of bone from another part of my mouth and adding it to a prepared site previously damaged.

So much else was going on during the repair I hardly noticed it. Regrowth and healing wasn't painful and it all worked out well (considering the situation). :D

I didn't know that it could be done that way. When they did mine they used tissue from the sides of my palate.
