SUNDAY, JANUARY 22ND

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP

(2) BALTIMORE RAVENS @ (1) NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS--It's a toss up game between two very different teams. Even though the Patriots will have the offensive power to make the game interesting, the Ravens will prove once again that it's the defense that wins championships. Baltimore will end their road woes, but it won't be a cakewalk. Ravens over Patriots, 24-21.

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

(4) NEW YORK GIANTS @ (2) SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS--Rivalry renewed in the playoffs as their last meeting was considered a wild one in one of the biggest comebacks in post season history with the Trey Junkin snap that advanced the Niners in the divisional round nine years ago. Now, it's New York that has the offensive weapons while the San Fran has the stingy defense. Another thriller by the bay for the two teams. 49ers over Giants, 30-24 in OT.

DVISIONAL ROUND: 3-1
PLAYOFFS: 5-3
2011 OVERALL RECORD: 160-103

lmao...pats vs giants man, it's inevitable.

ravens have no O and are playing on the road (i've been to gillette it's crazy there) and eli is better than alex smith.

looks like 0-2 this week man.

If the Pats do lose, it will be because Brady threw 4 interceptions/sacked 6/7 times and Flacco had the game of his life (which is possible don't get me wrong.) Defense does win championships (which is why I fear either team if the Pats get to the SB, since both teams have offenses to roll with the Pats too) but the reason the Ravens only have 1 SB to their name is a complete lack of a decent QB the past decade.

I have to ask since you're a non Pats fan, why do so many people hate the Patriots? I mean Belichick is a tool to the media as far as not answering questions, but I'd rather have that than Rex Ryan flapping off his mouth and Brady is a nice, modest guy. Not to mention they haven't won it all in 7 years anyway, so why the bitterness among non-Pats fans and hoping they lose etc.?

Why hate on the Ravens? The only reason they lost to the weaker D's is because Harbaugh went bonkers! Really, Asking Flacco to throw 80 times plus AND seeming to banish Ray Rice to the twilight zone.
As long as the running game is in play the Ravens are a serious threat. With Reed on the edge of having the career record for post-season pics Brady had better be accurate. With the threats Baltimore has to come up the middle Brady could easily get rattled, which seems to be pretty common since his knee injury.

That Ravens vs Pat game will be interesting. Patriots are coming in looking really strong. Guess it will come down to either Raven's D or Pat's O, which I kind of redundant to say :?

If the game were being played in Baltimore and/or Flacco resembled an NFL QB, I'd be scared. Even if Ravens D is on (which it could be) Pats will still put up 24-27 points and Flacco will have to make plays with his arm to win. No way Belichick lets Ray Rice beat him.

I in no way expect a blowout like last week against Denver, but I see the Pats in a 31-24 type game.

I agree with your predictions. It would be very interesting to see two brothers playing against each other in the Superbowl. Haha.

So far I think this is a great season. :)

The Ravens have been brought down by their own kicker! :wall:

I am not sure right now if I am going to watch the other game. I need to recover from that swift kick to the gut.

Pats D and running game won it, Brady svcked. But if it weren't for him, they wouldn't have been in this position in the first place.

I wanted the Pats to lose, because I really don't like the Pats, but towards the end I wanted the Pats to lose because the commentators were kissing Brady's behind.
