Aspie dancers

Randomly wondering, does anyone here take any type of dance class or do any type of dance program in or outside of school? I've never attended a dance class before for myself (I went twice for the same friend, one hip-hop class and one ballet class). Now I'm on my school's dance team. Although I've been raised a sports fan and an athlete, I seem to enjoy dancing more than any sport I've played, not even the ones I play now.

I can think of a few aspies I know who have done a lot of ballroom / latin and folk dancing. It is interesting, we all suspect that the computer programming world (and other degree educated IT professionals) have a lot of AS people, if you go to some folk dancing events you will find a whole load of computer nerds there. Some of these nerds go there for their fun.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

I was on dance team back in the day, and did stuff in musical theatre, for school.
I miss it a lot, actually.

Not in a class or on a dance team, but I enjoy belly-dancing (at home, with the curtains closed).

I was on a DIY dance team for a few years in my early/mid 20s, and I used to do 'hype crew'/dance with a psychobillly band. Good Old Days.
