I've noticed this over the years. After long, hard cardio, I start to feel sad and depressed. I feel a sense of accomplishment, and I feel calm, but very morose. It must be chemical or something. Just yesterday, I was doing laps in the pool, when suddenly I felt down. Tears welled up, and I almost cried. I'm not sure why it's like this. Does anyone else experience this?

PS: Nicotine picks me right up. A cig makes me feel like a million bucks. That's not healthy, but it goes to prove it must be chemical.

well this might seem ridiculous but could it be you just want a cigarette? I am not sure why it would specifically happen when doing exerting activities like that...but that seems simular to how I feel if I go too long without a cigarette, I'm doing my best not to smoke them though at least until I have a job but hopefully I could get over the addiction to them and maybe not start again.

low blood sugar.

eat something and you will probably feel better, maybe you need to eat something a short while before exercising or drink an isotonic drink during.

I was about to say. Sounds like a sugar thing. Replenish energy as soon as you finish. Something sweet.

just a jejune thought from moi- some people are not well-suited for long bouts of aerobic exercise, and would be better served with shorter bursts of intense exertion as would be provided by interval training. it has something to do with the muscle type of the individual.

Couldn't hurt. But make it something healthy. Not a Snickers bar. Eat an apple or something.
