Yesterday I lost balance while running, fell and hurt myself. One of the wound has been in contact with earth. It's not a deep wound and I did had a tetanus shot last year, but only one shot in a emergency clinic, not a proper booster... Should I be worried? Should I go for another tetanus shot?

The general advise for scrape wounds is to wash the wound with soap and water. You should be OK. Tetanus is a worry for puncture wounds.

I usually use hydrogen peroxide and then put Neosporin on it. If you're worried, just find something to clean it out really well. And make sure you're doing it regularly as well as putting a bandage on it.

So I wonder... Do one shot is enough for a proper anti-tetanus booster?

You're being much too paranoid about this cut. Usually tetanus shots last at least 6-7 years. Also, tetanus isn't likely to be gotten from the ground, it's usually from metal, so unless you fell on a bunch of rusty nails or something, you should be fine.

Don't let it get infected, if it starts oozing puss, it's a problem. Other than that, it's a cut. I got cut hundreds, if not thousands of times as a kid, and still get cut/scraped up as an adult, I don't have tetanus and have only had a cut get infected maybe once or twice and didn't even need to go to the doctor.

You should be fine.

Agree with this, I actually think it's usually 10 years for tetanus shots. I couldn't tell you how many times I scraped my knees/elbows as a child, and I never had an infection in any of them...our immune systems are really quite good at what they do!
