Back out of allignment

On monday, my upper back started to hurt some time after going to the gym. The pain has subsided over the week, but it still hurts when I turn my head to look up, down, or to either side.
Has anyone else had their back go out of allignment? How long was your activity limited as a result? I don't plan on going to any Krav Maga sessions next week, but I don't plan on staying inactive either. Exercise is what keeps me sane.
