Most dudes like that do in fact work out, they just don't necessarily talk about it. Because why?
It's basically the worst character trait possible when a dude thinks it's interesting to talk about working out ![]()

While some guys may not work out they may do physical labor at work. My husband had a great body for a long time from simply doing his job at work. He's still nice except he's getting a gut, but that doesn't bother me. Also, some guys may be just built a certain way. A certain body type. My youngest son is very skinny but also muscular and very strong. He doesn't work out but does yard work here some and does physical stuff. He's actually working tonight as security at the liquor store. He's not all that big, but he's strong as hell and won't take crap off of people so he can easily throw out some unruly drunks or take stuff back from shoplifters.
This is also similar to what I hear girls say sometimes. Thin women who don't diet and who eat anything they want tend to piss off women who struggle with their weight. I'm one of those thin women. Never dieted in my life and never really needed to. Although I gained a little when I quit smoking, I've sadly started back but will quit again and I've lost that right away. I just have a high metabolism and always eat what I want and as much as I want. My younger daughter on the other hand gains weight even while trying to lose it because of her metabolism.
I think that some guys are built to actually look more muscular than they are, and some who actually are muscular got that way by what they do at work, etc.

I have had to work hard for 30 years and counting, to have this body, and honestly if fitness and bodybuilding weren't one of my autistic special interests, I doubt I'd be in anywhere near this shape. There are people with the kind of hormone balance and metabolism that can get away with very little exercise, and still have a flat stomach and defined musculature. But there are others who spend 3 hours a day in the gym, and are fat and out-of-shape, no matter how hard they try. I was somewhere in the middle; I was never more than 20 pounds overweight, but I was certainly not the 4.8% body fat athletic-type that I got to be now, without correcting a problem called hypoaldosteronism, and also with relentless, unwavering drive to be fit. My thyroid levels were in the low end of low normal, and my estrogen count skyrocketed when I turned 30, so I have to be on pills to stop my body from converting testosterone to estrogen. In fact it was so bad, that my blood pressure was out of control, and no blood pressure pills were helping. With everything balanced, I'm on a level playing field with others of normal makeup. I still have to work hard, but at least I get good results for that work.
Hormone balance is everything. If you're a man with too much estrogen, and/or your body is converting testosterone to estrogen, you're going to have body fat no matter how much you eat right, or work out. If your thyroid or cortisol levels aren't right, you cannot metabolize food properly, and you will have fat. So if you have a clear conscience that says you're doing everything you can, and you're still keeping too much body fat, it's best to get a hormone workup. And I mean you need to know the NUMBERS!! !! Most doctors will check your thyroid and cortisol, and tell you "normal" or "abnormal", and not tell you HOW normal or abnormal.
Case in point: If, let's say a particular hypothetical test has a range of 1 to 100, and "NORMAL" is anything between 20 and 80, yours could be 20.5 and be called "NORMAL". Well, that's NOT normal; it's very low! But if you don't get the right doctor on your side, they're not going to treat it because it's technically in the "normal" range, and medical insurance won't pay for treatment. An endocrinologist is the one to see, and one who specializes in hormone replacement therapy.

With the aldosterone, I read it's function has to do with sodium and the electrolyte balances. I've always been rather salt sensitive, ie, I don't put much salt on food, and I tend to get high blood pressure from high amounts of salt. The women in my family are the opposite and have to salt the crap out of food.
Any ideas?
