I am taking Abilify with my Zoloft. The zoloft has been working pretty good, but my doctor felt like the abilify would help. But apparently the first couple of weeks it can cause you to be antsy (like you want to crawl out of your skin.

To make things worse, she said to take a half a pill, but she wrote the scrip for a whole pill because she wanted to be able to increase the dose in a few weeks.

So I have been edgy, getting up and down all the time, sweating more, and going to the bathroom all the time.
Needles to say now I am on 1/2 a pill. Sorry dont remember the dosage, small blue pill.

Any advice on how to get some temporary relief? I told my biss what was going on in case they wondered why I am up and down so much.

Could not ist thru church Sunday

You could try going to or calling your doctor & explain the symptoms & ask if you could have a prescription for a benzodiazepine to take while your adjusting to the Abilify.

Other treatment options for anti-psychotic induced akathisia are adding low dose of Mirtazapine, or Cyproheptadine or of course benzos as suggested above. If you don't want to tolerate this side effect, tell your doctor to do something about it, and suggest these options.
