Is that good for a 190 pounder? I'm 195 and 5 foot 10 inches. I run a 5k in 17 minutes. I have a lot of experience in running and I would say average is 21-25 minutes for men. 18-20 is above average. and 15-17 is competitive.
the average 5k time is 30-33 minutes.I've done alot of local runs,half the people are over 33 minutes.
I avg 21 min and finish in top 3-10%
21-24 minutes is jv boys high school xc times.
my running times are equal to a slower high school boy track or xc runner.
if I was racing against 40 high school boy track or xc runner,I
would get 35th place.
