You can work it out with this link.
http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obe ... /bmi-m.htm

BMI Categories:
Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5–24.9
Overweight = 25–29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

It will be interesting to see what bell curve we get. :chin:

If you are a number like say 24 instead of 24.3, choose the 22 to 24 option

I'm 20.2, although I think that's due to me having a low muscle mass rather than a low percentage of fat.

Lotta ways. Most common is put calipers up to your skin and measure the skinfolds at various spots. Also there's the oldschool hydrostatic method that measures it by putting you in a pool of water. Then there's electronic scanners. I was measured at 17% when I was 189, 20% with electronic at 195, and going by visual estimates I'm probably 12% now. The trainers I used to be cool with left my gym so they won't just check my bodyfat at will for free anymore.

It doesn't seem to be forming a bell curve. It's a bit worrying that I posted the highest BMI in the survey. Yesterday I bought a digital scale and it said I had 33% body fat. Very worrying.

BMI says Iam overweight at 26 but everyone tells me Iam too skinny.

I went on one of those electronic fat measuring things, they tell me hardly anybody (Men) gets below 20% bodyfat, I got either 14% or something ridiculous like 4% if I chose the athletic scale rather than average.

About as big as Mr Beans, my wrists are only slightly thicker than my old fella.

My small muscles though are quite hard and I seem to have the same strength as the big guys.

Body mass index is a joke, and is useless & meaningless. Why? Because mine is 35, but I have 4.8% body fat, and have a leaner, more fit body at age 46, than an olympic track competitor could dream of at age 19 8O (proven by displacement of water at the Cooper Fitness Institute in Dallas). BMI is just another government tool to blame citizens for their own health issues.

Charles (somewhat of an expert on this issue, if I may be so forward)
