So Iam not too good at eating fruit and veg, much easier to just pop a Piza in the oven, all these vegetables seem to need a lot of work.
So today I ordered one of these :- LINK, a very high power blender at a reasonable price, Iam going to buy vegetables like spinach and broccoli and apples and oranges and stuff and just bung em into this blender and just drink them raw. Maybe I will add honey and spices and stuff as well,
like this

I just ordered a Blendtech blender today too. I'm pretty good at eating vegetables but eating salad all the time can be boring so I'm looking forward to having some delicious green smoothies. Can't wait!

I have a Blendtech and I use it almost every day. I even prepared some dog treats with it. It does a great job.

So it arrived yesterday, and today on the way home from work, I stopped off at the Market to buy more vegetables than I ever bought at one time in my life.

So let me share my recipe! (All raw of course).

1 Carrot
Handful of Spinach leaves.
1 Tennis-ball sized head of Broccoli
1 large Tomato
!/4 of a cucumber
Bunch of parsley.
1 Apple
1/2 an Orange complete with the rind/skin.
A sprig of Ginger.
A tablespoon full of Chia seeds
8 Almond Kernels
A sprinkling of Cinnamon,
!/2 cup of water.

Apart from breaking the carrot in half, I just bunged the whole lot in at once, next time I will cut the bigger stuff up, the blender coped very well, but I think the carrots got wedged on the side at first.

This gave me two pints, I had one today and the other I will have tomorrow.

OK, I cannot claim my recipe was delicious, but it wasn't disgusting either, just have to see what my stomach things of all that goodness.

This might sound strange but aren't you supposed to be getting away from processed food?

It does sound strange. Are you saying that raw veggie & fruit smoothie is processed food?

My blender order got cancelled so I had to reorder it :(

It is "processed", indeed. But then if you cut up apple into little pieces and eat it, you'd been eating processed food by your definition.
It's still better than eating something that's processed in a factory tough.

I guess blending vegetables and fruits in a blender would lessen their nutritious values a little bit due to some oxidizing (I don't believe pureeing would damage fiber content.)
So I can see that storing left over smoothie in a fridge for later consumption might not be a good idea.

Evisceration of God exposes more nutrients, however, it all so can increase the caloric value of the food too. If you do get what I'm getting at think of peanut butter a peanut fiber content, not ground or chewed finely you will not get the full calories or fiber content vs ground. There are pros and cons to finely grinding your foods watch what you grind for a drink or you might create a large jump in your calorie intake. I use a gen one bullet food processor to increase the fat, protein content in my diet! Just be careful. :)

Evisceration of God?

I see what you saying (apart from the above).
Your body might not absorb all the nutrients and calories if you just swallowed them whole without chewing but with gound food, you might be able to absorb all the calories the food supposed to have.
It would not INCREASE the caloric value of the food itself though (100 calories worth of peanuts will still be 100 calories when ground).

I personally only use fruits and vegetables in my smoothies so I don't think this particular concern will be a problem for me.

Auto correct has gone mad! I realized it was changing words completely. It has been disabled and ginger spell check is back on line. That good food must have missed the space and it took some o's out. Now its past the first 3000minutes ugh.

It's been over a month since I got my Blendtech blender and I'm loving it.
Everyday I make a big glass (1 quart) of green smoothie for breakfast.

I put:
-kale (or spinach)
-banana + other fruits (pineapple, berries, peach or mango)
-vegan protein powder
-chia seeds
-water

Looks gross but tastes sooo good!
