Why do they change colour?

Why do brown eyes sometimes go a green colour later in life?

I think it's fairly common for eyes to change color OVER A DAY

I don't think it's common for eyes to change color OVER A LIFETIME, with the exception of early infancy.

My eyes vary from green to light blue. Seems to have to do with what colour shirt I'm wearing and whether or not I'm in the sun. Outside in the sun they are blue. Inside or in low light they're green.

Mine have. I was born with gold eyes, when I was seven they turned a light bronze, then brown. When I was in the middle of an emotional breakdown they were black. right now they are brown again and are lightening to bronze. I hope they turn gold later on, because it would be nice to have that color back.
