So I'm a size 20-22 and weigh 230 pounds and have decided to lose to 110 pounds. Is this even possible? How long does it take? I don't think losing 120 pounds in six months is safe.

They say a person should lose no more than 2 lbs a week if they want to keep it off and not overstress their body in the process. Doing the math that means you should look at about a year to lose the weight you want.

Have you talked to your doctor about your weight loss plans? They can give you good guidance.

I'm using an app called My Fitness Pal and it tells you how many calories you need. A year away from being a size 2 or 4 isn't so far away. :)

I feel so ugly all of the time and unhealthy.

Good luck with your weight loss regimen - you're in good company (myself included).

It's a lifestyle change, but once you've been eating healthy for a while you'll start to feel a lot better. Don't worry if you have the occcasional day where you fall off the wagon - it'll happen. Just get back up the next day, dust yourself off and carry on.

Take care :D

Thanks :)

I am nervous that I'll be too skinny and unhappy. I've always been plus-sized and feel happiest at a weight of 180-210. When I weighed 210, I didn't eat a lot. I would actually refuse to treat myself. I smacked myself when I felt the urge to eat junk. That's not the healthiest thing to do (smacking yourself). I ate very healthy and exercised for 45 minutes every single day and sometimes close to an hour.

Replacing everything in my wardrobe would be a pain to do.
