I *really* like coffee. I probably drink about 300-400 mg of caffeine a day--doesn't sound too bad except that I'm only 17. But I am not concerned because it is a replacement habit for disordered eating (something I recently overcame after about seven years of shame, yo-yo dieting, calorie counting, under-eating, and over-eating.) Do any other eating disorder survivors find themselves consuming a lot of caffeine?

I used to commonly consume that much caffeine in a day through energy drinks, especially back when I was working at a grocery store. In my case, it's because I wasn't sleeping much, since I would stay up all night and surf the web or play computer games. I like staying up late at night, since it's quieter and I don't have to deal with other people, and if it were feasible and socially acceptable, I'd probably be completely nocturnal, but unfortunately society dictates that I have to be awake during the day to do things like work, get food, etc.
