I have always believed that your body is the most important thing you will ever own and you should look after it the best way you can. I have never smoked or taken drugs. I only drink socially.

I have been modelling since I was 11 and I like to work hard on my body to stay in shape.

Being Aspie, I do lack confidence, even with the modelling etc. I find it hard chatting to people at the gym and I prefer to work out on my own.

Anyone else have issues in the gym?

It's funny that you say that. I also like to exercise regularly (though I'm not really fanatic), but I don't enjoy small talk. It interrupts the exercise and I often don't know what to say. I tried listening to music, thinking my earphones would be a sufficiently clear sign to others, but it didn't work. Probably I should just accept it as the (minor) incovenience that it is.

Generally, I like to work out alone.

Mostly so I don't have to "work in" with other people using the same equipment, but I don't need distractions either.

Not that I'd be opposed to chatting with someone I got along with well while working out, but I can focus either on socializing or exercise, not both.

it would be nice to be able to enjoy fresh air and sunshine while doing outdoor exercise, with somebody else.
