This happens while ridding in cars too even as a kid when I wasn't on any medications but it's worse on buses. Ridding in vehicles that are going slow, breaking frequently or turning makes me feel very tired & I have a hard time keeping my eyes open & I sort of half sleep. I'm really wondering why this happens & what I can do to address the cause.

I often get sleepy in public trainsport, especially trains. When I'm driving myself at least I have something to do and I have a sense that what I'm doing serves a purpose, instead of just sitting and waiting.

i also fall half asleep, but i know why:
it is a defence mechanism. slow movement, other people, speed changes, all traffic outside... it is overwhelming to the senses.

this is why i go into a power-saving mode (for lack of a better word); my senses get dulled to the minimal safe levels and i will not actively percieve anything, except for the callout of my stop (which i imprint just after sitting down, to trigger).
this way i seem half to fully asleep on the bus, but as soon as i get out at my stop, i become fully awake. if i don't half-sleep on the bus, i will become truly tired, and remain that way for the rest of the day.

I tend to feel tired whenever I am going to go shopping or other places I find overwhelming. I think it's a defense mechanism as well. On the other hand, I have a tendency to be a litte more energetic when I am going somewhere I really want to go.
