Martial Arts/Yoga for [mental] health
I've always been into both for health purposes. But especially I find it excellent for channeling frustration, building discipline, self esteem and of course physical fitness. My mind is so active most of the time that I need to move my body more in order to stay sane. If I get lazy and languish I just end up argumentative and lethargic from lack of physical discipline. The more I practice this form of self discipline, the more often I want to eat mostly vegetables and can't stand to touch wheat, sugar and other junk carbs.
For me, this is a lifetime habit I can't afford to give away at all. Doing so ends me up in a heap and usually depressed because my mind just spins the cogs in ever more repetitive negative cycles. So I absolutely recommend it to anyone with a very active mind who is also prone to depression.
