New running route: around a lake surrounded by hilly woodland that has a court cairn on one side and a castle on the other. Very pretty. The hills and uneven terrain made it a challenging run.

Couldn't post from the gym last night; don't know if it was because the treadmills were messed up or because I left my phone at home.

I'm hoping it's naught to do with the phone. If the phone company is charging me to use AT&T to access the web from the gym treadmills it wipes out the benefits of having wifi treadmills! I can't afford the per-use charges.

Anyway I did 20 minutes on the elliptical at greater resistance than before

Used a leg press machine I hadn't used before--me likey

I don't recall how many pounds I set any of the machines to but I used the
Rowing machine
Pectoral fly/deltoid crunch
Torso flexion (I really like this machine as I can move more weight with it than any of the others, I think I'm getting close to 90#)
Abdominal crunch (my diaphragm is still tender 20 hr later)
Shoulder lift
Chest press

And then I tried the treadmills but blew it off when the webpages wouldn't load. :(

Plus I'm not getting the enjoyment out of it that I did before. I spend to much time worrying that NT hubby is fretting about me being not with with him. I think the accusations of looking for a different partner are the type of manipulative bs that NT's make up to hurt feelings. I hope that's what it is. I can't tell when he's being honest with me and when he's saying what he thinks I want to hear and when he's saying whatever he thinks will get a desired response. :(

Wow Traven, thats hard work, fair play :)

~~~~~~~
Just back from a Tag game, and the running is paying off, I am getting faster :D.
Was asked to join the Sevens ladies rugby training tonight, but I'll need to buy a gum shield first 8O. I'll try it out and see, if it's too rough I'm gone, but I think it might make the approaching line out less threatening in Tag.
Better swimmer too probably. :)
No doubt.
Though with some practice, I reckon I'd give you a run. :) As long as no butterfly; I'm too physically ret*d to do that.
Speaking of. On Wednesday I swam 36 laps of butterfly.
Yesterday I did more weights (tfw deadlifting more than my own body weight for reps) and some freestyle sprint intervals.
Today's a complete recovery day.
So... I did actually do my usual 17+ miles on Wed. & Thurs. Then I took off Friday and did my usual on Saturday and today.
I was surprised at how much better I did Saturday morning! That day off REALLY helped. I guess I've been over-training a bit. From now on, I'm gonna try to do 3 on 1 off.
Also, I think I finally cracked the weight-loss code! I dropped about 7lbs this week.
The trick (for me anyway) is to workout BEFORE breakfast. I also do a (mostly) paleo type diet and I do intermittent fasting--I eat everything within the first 6-8 hours of the day. Basically, I skip dinner, but I don't really count calories.
Apparently, that long period of fasting followed by exercise really helps to trigger weight-loss.
I hope I can sustain this. I need to drop another 20lbs or so.
