Since my cursed Joubert Syndrome disorder is keeping me from doing things like squats or anything that involves free weights (yes, God is a very sick man indeed), I still want to get a bigger or more muscular butt. What are some alternative options? When I attempt free weights, I'm super conscious about my form and I wish I had someone to guide me, but that hasn't been easy. I wish I can explain what I want without having to ramble on all the time.

My joubert is very mild, but I think it's a malevolent trick. It affects all my physical neurology from my speech to my posture.

It's not even fair.

Body weight exercises like hip thrusts, glute bridges, donkey kicks etc provide far more glute activation than even heavy sumo deadlifts or squats.

This article prettyy much explains it and gives you a workout routine to build your glutes.

What I've been suggested was doing leg presses, leg extensions, and incline cardio. Will it work?

Leg presses will help. Leg extensions target your quads, and probably won't do much for your gluteus.

Can you ride a bicycle? If you can, buy a mountain or road bike, and start doing interval work. Pedal an easy gear to warm up, and them shift into your hardest gear and ride as hard as you can for a given distance or time. Start out with a couple of hundred feet, or 15-20 seconds. Recover on an easy gear for the same distance/time, and then repeat. Start out at 5 reps, build to 10. Build your distance to a mile. It won't give you a huge butt, but it will develop the gluteus muscle.

Don't spend too much time hammering a tough gear, as it can cause knee discomfort, and possible even injury. Start small and build.

If you have balance issues you may be able to ride a tricycle.

Hip thrusts will target your glutes far more than any leg press or leg curls, even hundreds of lbs of weighted squats or deadlifts and you dont need to worry about injury because you are only using your body weight and your hips will only be like 1 foot off the ground. No equipment needed and far better results if your only goal is a bigger butt and nothing else.

You can either do them off the floor or off the edge of a couch.

I did it the natural way. I climbed up 27 flights of stairs every day to get to my apartment. I hiked up and down steep ravines. I hiked up hills and mountains. Boy did I ever get a nice butt after doing that for a year!

I'd say walking daily at least a half mile might help, but I don't know if that actually stretches those muscles....I just know I walk a lot and am skinny and I don't exactly have a tiny butt, I've had to not buy pants because I couldn't fit it into them though sometimes they make females clothing as if it were for a scare crow or skeleton for that matter.
