Exercise triggering meltdowns?

I find that sometimes if I do something strenuous it can lead to irritability and sensory overwhelm. I'm not sure if I have true meltdowns or if they are just plain old NT temper tantrums, but after exercise I have an extremely hard time controlling myself, my mind, and my emotions. The only thing that seems to help is lying alone in a cool quiet room with the door shut. I have fibromyalgia too, so it might be tied to that. It feels like my body is being flooded with poison--it doesn't even have to be after real exercise, just a few hours of concentrated effort on something can have the same effect. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any tips for prevention or lessening the severity of this feeling?
