If the former, then its seed oil extract, Thymoquinone, is under research for its potential to affect human diseases, although valid clinical studies to date remain insufficient to understand its potential for clinical efficacy.
If the latter, then there seem to be no valid clinical studies at all as to its efficacy in treating anything.
Most of what is published about either one is based on hearsay and unsubstantiated testimonials.
