To maintain my weight I have to eat 2490 calories or less. I need to know if I still need to exercise to maintain weight. I live with other people who have complained about my exercising because they want quiet while they are sick. They sleep in the den while they are sick.

I've tried to reason with them but they don't understand. So as long as I consume within my calorie limit do I still need to exercise?

If you have correctly calculated your maintenance calories so far, and you manage to hit that level, then you do not need to exercise to maintain weight.

However, even if you are at your ideal weight you might still want to exercise (and increase your calorie intake to avoid losing weight), though, as regular exercise (cardio in particular) is generally good for your health.

Whether or not it's necessary for weight maintenance, exercise is important. You need it to stay healthy and strong; otherwise, your muscles (including your heart) will atrophy. It's also a good mood booster. If the people you live with are upset about it, try getting a gym membership. If the weather is nice, it's a good idea to go outside and take a run or do some push-ups in your lawn.
