So I've been eating lots of sugary cereal and milk with lactase, and I notice my sugar levels seem to go on a roller coaster ride now, probably because I'm digesting the lactose now, which splits into glucose and galactose.

I've also been drinking a lot of Sprite, which probably doesn't help. Lately, I notice I will sometimes have to go to the bathroom a lot and there is a huge stream that comes out for a long time. On top of that, I feel dehydrated and my throat gets sore (probably from the dehydration).

Earlier today, I had lots of periods of fatigue, then I had to lie down and rest while my ears were ringing. I felt better when I got up. At times, I felt dizzy and off-balance, and generally not well.

Could this be because of all the sugar I've been eating, I could be having high blood sugar levels?

I know I make a lot of posts, so maybe this is just all in my head.

You're diabetic now, I'm sure the doctor will tell you the same thing because you sound just like my brother.

My blood sugar just a few months ago was fine, though.

Anyway, I've been dealing with this a lot, especially after meals. I start feeling really dry, which makes me start feeling high, and then I get back cramps and feel dizzy, so I go and get some water. Within like 30 seconds of drinking it, I gotta go to the bathroom really bad and when I go a whole lot comes out. This has been repeating itself several times a day for days.

This is pretty obvious polydipsia and polyuria.

At times, I feel weird in the the arms or tired, or ungodly hungry.

Today, I went to San Francisco and when I was walking back to the bus station I started feeling really weak and hot (even though it's really nice there), and sweating and had to rest for a moment. On the bus back, I felt like I couldn't catch my breath until after I napped, which I fell into quickly.

When I drank water it would pass through really quick.

Now, at home, even though the temperate has cooled to about 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius), I feel hot and my skin feels warm and dry, and I get dehydrated easily and have to keep drinking water.

Stop eating sugary cereal and drinking Sprite (or any other soda sweetened with sugar or corn syrup). Maybe I sound glib the way I put out that advice, but I'm serious. If you must eat cereal, eat something not sugary, and don't add sugar. For interest, you could cut up some fresh fruit to put on the cereal.

I'm concerned about your actual health status, and I recommend you see a doctor ASAP.

I've gotten this and have no idea what it is.

I've found from improving my diet, losing weight, and dramatically increasing my activity level have helped alot. It sounds like such copout advice but it's true.

About 6 months ago I had to go to a doctor for the first time in years for something with some of the same symptoms you described. I could have swore i was diabetic or had heart disease. I got dizzy, nauseous, extremely bloated and full after eating to the point of feeling ill, even if it was a small meal, very thirsty out of nowhere despite drinking. Not peeing much for days then getting to the poiiunt where I go every 20 minutes for several hours, numbness, much more...

So after some tests come back fine the Dr. tells me I had to lose weight.. I was at 286.... I thought it was such a copout. I flipped out and called her a smug b***h and stormed out...

Later that week I decided to start to do differently just to see... and wouldn't you know it... that smug b***h was right after all... she was still smug, but I guess not so much the b***h afterall...

Stop eating crap. See sugary drinks for the garbage that they are. Processed cereal no matter how they package it is junk food too. Your doctor won't bother giving nutrition advice, they like to wait until you get full blown diabetes to act, western medical doctors don't care about prevention at all so it is up to you as the patient to educate yourself on how to improve your diet starting by giving up soda/sugary drinks (this includes garbage like gatorade).

You don't have to have full blown diabetes for your insulin sensivity to get worse and worse because of poor diet choices and lack of exercise. It doesn't go from one day having excellent insulin sensivity to suddenly having your pancreas just croak and you having diabetes. It is a gradual decline.

The doctor said I'm dehydrated because of the Indian summer we were having.

I am getting a procedure done and I had blood drawn on Wednesday. If there are any issues, it'd probably show there.

I am on Medicare now, and entitled to a free Welcome to Medicare exam.
