I have kind of a weird question.

So when I was younger and even into my adulthood I have had some incidents of passing out. When I was younger my mom worried about it when it happened a few times, so I ended up getting blood tests run and such at the children's hospital. And they found some rather unusual things, they thought I might carry and/or have a type of muscular dystrophy but they weren't sure...and I learned the life expectancy wasn't very long so I figured I might die in my 20's when it was still on the table that could be a possibility. But later they found it wasn't that, but still they had some unusual results and in my teens I agreed to a muscle biopsy so they could take a little slice of my muscle to study. But yeah what I gathered from the letter I got sent about it, they didn't find anything bad but they found some unusual traits, but a lot of it was pretty scientific wording so a little hard to follow. So I guess the question is have any of you ever ended up having blood tests done that came up with unusual results? I guess i am just curious if other people with autism have experienced anything like that?
and yeah to be honest I am wondering if some of the unusual things they found are common among people with autism or not...like what if that was the 'unusual' thing they were seeing. Or maybe it is just coincidence of getting blood tests with odd results and then eventually finding aspergers did fit. I just don't know and can't help wondering.

I have nothing useful to say apart from that I passed out on a regular basis from around 9-10 years old though my teenage years and it then became less frequent from my mids teens and only very occasionally since. I thought it was something to do with pressure on my vagus nerve but never knew and never had any tests.

I passed out like 3-4 times since I was about 10 until about 20, I was feeling like I'm about to pass out like hundreds of times until recently.
While we were trying to figure out why I passed out, literally every doctor found some reason in his field, there was something weird in my EEG, there was something weird in my heart and there was something "wrong" with blood vessels near my brain and so on.
Several years ago I started doing breathing exercises and suddenly felt the same s**t again. Now I think it probably was due to hyperventilation caused by anxiety. Now whenever I feel anything even remotely similar to any signs of hyperventilation, I just know to pay attention to my breathing and it goes away.
^^ interesting, in true "my parent-fashion" very little thought was given to why I kept passing out. But it could make sense that it was anxiety triggered and I learnt to not hyperventilate as I grew older. It was often as a response to something overwhelming such as injury, over-heating or other things that made me feel stressed.

The results might still be on your medical records somewhere, so maybe it is worth asking your GP to take a look (assuming this is affordable where you are, of course). I was thinking of doing this myself, as I've also had a couple of blood tests in the past where I was told that there were things which were "unusual" but "not to worry about them" without being told any specifics (I know already from my immunisation records that there are some unexplained anomalies for a UK male of my generation.)
At the same time, it's probably best not to worry ourselves too much; "unusual" isn't the same thing as something being a "risk factor", so the "nothing to get concerned about" advice is most likely perfectly reasonable.
