When you cook pasta usually you add a sauce you cook too at the end. At this stage you can stir in salad leaves like spinach, rocket and chopped up lettuce with the pasta and sauce and it tastes nice. Uncooked vegetables retain more nutrients so it's a way of being healthier too.

You can cook a big batch of pasta and store some in the fridge to make quick meals with later. You could spoon a topping on from a jar of pesto and sprinkle some herbs on. You can also get tinned lentils and beans that are precooked so drain them and they can be added to the pasta too. If you're gluten intolerant there are lentil and chickpea pastas available.
