Im 18 and I still wear diapers to bed. I have sensory issues when it comes to my bladder. I cannot feel when I need to pee. At school and during the day, I have a timer and I go during those times. Its embarassing. But during the night, timers didnt work out. So I wear a damn diaper to bed. I wish I didnt need to. I can change it in the morning myself at least. I always bring a change of clothes to school, in case. Its annoying sometimes

I'm not sure, I'm no expert, but I think it might not be too late to train your brain to sense when you need to pee.
You can buy electronic devices that will sound an alarm to wake you up when they get wet. Using one of those at night to wake yourself up and then getting up and changing your diaper immediately might help train your brain.
I guess it will be annoying at first to keep waking in the night and forcing yourself to get up, but that's probably the only way to do it.
Hope something works for you, anyway.
