Lately my poop has an unusual smell, even though it looks normal. The smell is like a seaweed or saltwater/sea smell. It's a very unusual smell for poop.

I'm not sure if it's caused by taking indigestion tablets. I sometimes take a store-bought indigestion tablet if I feel sick (sometimes I feel nauseas from anxiety or hunger and my emetophobia makes it worse).

Do you think stomach-settling tablets can cause strange-smelling poop? I seem to get it for a few days after I have an indigestion tablet.

They could.

Are you eating the same foods?

I would suspect it’s the tablets.

It's probably nothing.....but I think it would be good to see a doctor about it, anyway.

I've discovered my poop only has that particular smell when using the toilet in my boyfriend's apartment. Any other toilet I use, my poop doesn't smell odd or even smell at all. And it's nothing to do with what I'm eating because I could use a toilet at work, which is just around the corner from our apartment, and it doesn't smell like that there.

Very strange, if you ask me. :?

This isn't a weird question at all. Maybe you just ate something bad. Wait 2-3 days and if you experience the same situation, then maybe you should try to get consulted?? (If that was me, I wouldn't bother to go to the doctor, to be honest)
