WARNING- some readers may find this gross.

I get these randomly at any time, sometimes 4 times a week, sometimes 4 or 5 times a month, and sometimes none for a few weeks.

I can get it anywhere too, so I don't think it's allergies. There is no pattern of it, meaning I don't get it if I'm in a certain place or doing certain tasks. It just happens without any reason or warning.

The symptoms are constant runny nose, severe discomfort and itching in the sinuses (forehead, nose and cheeks), urge to sneeze, very forceful sneezes when I do (but makes no relief), increased saliva, and post-nasal drip. The symptoms worsen when looking downwards. I blow my nose but the sinuses just makes more and it doesn't stop. I can get 8 or 9 or more tissues soaked in less than 20 minutes. I do not have itchy or watery eyes during these attacks. Also I can breathe easy through my nose during these attacks, so the sinuses aren't blocked. I have to keep eating bread to soak up the extra mucus in my stomach from the post-nasal drip, otherwise I will feel sick. This might cause weight gain.

I've tried different meds but I keep getting immune to them. I've also tried different nasal sprays, but it doesn't help long-term. I've seen the doctor about it countless times but they just say sinus conditions are common and that it's either allergy or virus. I know when I have a cold, and believe me, these sinus attacks are not colds, although it looks to other people like I have a cold.

It can get pretty embarrassing too, as it can gross people out. The only solution is to literally keep a tissue there under my nose, which isn't possible if I am at work. Blowing my nose relieves it for a couple of minutes, then it all comes back again.
I've pulled a muscle in my ribs from sneezing too much.

Does anyone know here what this can be? It's really interferring with my life.

It’s time to see a GP, who can refer you to an ear, nose, and throat specialist.

Maybe you need an antibiotic.
