10 percent of anything is easy to calculate, it's a matter of moving the decimal point one position to the left.

For example if you step on the scales and they show 180 pounds:

180 can also be expressed as 180.0 or 180.00 - all of these are mathematically the same thing.
180.0 with the decimal point moved one position to the left is 18.00 so 10% of 180 pounds is 18 pounds.

Similarly if you're 192 pounds, 10% of your bodyweight is 19.2 pounds.
