I have alot of pain in my right side, it can really hurt to walk. I have Psoriatic Arthritis.

The staff thinks walking is good, walking will take the pain away. Are they wrong?

According to the internet, yes, walking / moving is beneficial. It will be uncomfortable at first, but then improve as you continue. Seems that sitting still makes it worse, and while moving is painful at first, persisting with regular movement will likely help alleviate the pain in the long run. In theory. Engaging in regular exercise seems to be one of the most common lifestyle changes recommended to people with any form of arthritis, psoriatic arthritis included.

Lots of nasty stuff happens when you don't move.
If I were bedbound but rich, I'd have someone move me out of bed every day just to get me moving.
