My pulse is also very high at rest, and it troubles my doctor. But it's one of those things that's hard to trace down, I was told. Are you on any meds that cause high pulse? Those would include any stimulants such as Adderall, Dexadrine, Ritalin, etc. Many Aspies with ADD symptoms are prescribed those, as I am on Adderall for focus and ability to think in a businesslike manner. Coffee does this too. With all those other symptoms with effort to move about, being exhaustive, I'd ABSOLUTELY get a thorough heart & lung check-up! If you have a plugged artery, or poor oxygen level in the blood, or maybe other issues, it could get very serious if not attended to.
Also it depends on your age, and what shape you're in. If you're in excellent shape, and your blood pressure is OK, then I'd wait until the doctor says something needs to be done, before worrying. If you are a little heavy, or have high BP, then I'd get aggressive now, at solving the problem before it leads to something serious.
My doctor had me get a renal artery ultrasound (to check if I had blocked arteries), and an echo-cardiogram to check if my heart has anything like a weird beat, or something not opening/closing properly. No problems found, God bless! I just have a fast pulse unexplained.
