I'm just wondering how upset I should get about this. I have a ton of medical bills - I've asked about charity for just about everyone.

There are a few that i've had to pay on - some because I was receiving my 3rd statement and after the 4th it goes to the credit collection agency, one because the guy knocked the bill down to $400 and told me that was all I had to pay as long as I paid something on it every month. There is also a $40 bill that I was told I had to pay the full amount but could make payments as small as I wanted to wihout late fees or interest.

For the most part I've been sending in $10. (partially because thats all I can afford and partially because I'm still fighting to get medicaid to cover a good bit of these bills). But checking over my bank account no one has cashed these checks.

Why? The ten dollars is a good portion of the $40 bill and I was told I could send in $2/month on that on if that was all I could get by with. If it was just one or two i'd figure they weren't cashing them because either the check hadn't been received or they required an unstated minimum amount. But its all of them, and some have specifically mentioned that amounts less than $10 were okay. The bills were mailed on different days, some from the post office, some from the box, so it doesn't make sense that they all would have been lost in the mail.

I'm wondering how worried I should get about this
